A tsunami advisory has been issued for Washington’s outer coast. State Parks has announced that ocean beaches are closed & people are advised to stay off the beaches until further notice. They are not closing campsites at this time, but campers will be alerted of the advisory. #wawx

This TSUNAMI ADVISORY is now only for the outer coast of Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor and Pacific counties, from Columbia River estuary coast to the Juan de Fuca Strait with some strong/unusual currents within the inner coast, especially as you get closer to the strait of Juan de Fuca. #wawx

The TSUNAMI ADVISORY is in effect. It's possible some waves on the outer coast may increase the current water levels an extra one foot or slightly higher. DO NOT head to the beach or marina to watch the #tsunami waves come in. You not only put yourself in danger when you do this. #wawx

This is our last update for the night. We’ve confirmed that there’s been a delay in wave arrival times. It's possible some waves on the outer coast may increase the current water levels by less than one foot in some areas and slightly higher in others. Suggest folks follow tsunami.gov for the latest

A tsunami advisory remains in effect because there have been observable waves greater than one foot. All waves must be under 1 foot for 3 hours for the advisory to be removed. Neah Bay still has wave heights of 1.3 feet and Port Angeles has wave heights of 1.2 feet. #wawx

We are not seeing any reports of major damage on our coast. We are still suggesting people stay off beaches and stay away from the water due to strong currents. Continue to find the latest at tsunami.gov

This TSUNAMI ADVISORY is now just for the outer coast of Washington state and does NOT include the inner counties of King, Pierce and Thurston. Ocean sensors indicate a possible one foot wave at some of the outer coast. There may still be some unusual currents on the inner coast. #wawx
