I’m so so sorry , I still can’t talk about one of our dogs who we had to put down two years ago Being able to end an animals suffering is one of the kindest things we can do As my vet said you might think it’s the wrong time to put them down but you’ll always regret putting them down too late
He looks miserable. He doesn’t walk at all or stand now. We have to hold him up for him to go to the bathroom. But most times he just goes while laying down. We tried dog aspirin hoping it would help him with his mobility but it hasn’t. We are getting him put down and cremated this Monday. 😩
it’s just so sad as they are family, there is a poem called A dog’s plea and the last line goes… “Please see that my trusting life is taken gently so I may leave this Earth knowing with the last breath I draw that my fate was always safest in your hands.”
