I wouldn't be able to connect with a browser to X if I wanted to in order to follow up on that search by design. I have all of their data centers redirecting to 127.0.0.1 on my router and on my self hosted dns server.
no i use it to make the tool better. user clarification, rating, and feedback is what makes it better moreso than patches or updates. I'm kind of on board with being a part of that process
Using wikipedia makes a tool better. Flagging bad results on the BS generator just makes people think the tool actually works without human handholding and gives them false confidence for gemini's often fatal advice.
People getting so used to AI they forgot how to do simple research
And then they justify their laziness and ignorance by saying “iM tRyInG tO mAkE iT bEtTeR” while looking like this:
I get what you're saying but. Let's just keep in context that you're talking to a person that legally changed their last name to name themselves after a fictional ai from a William Gibson novel.
I like Data from Star Trek, too, but that is kind of more reason not to help these tech bros. Like I love cats but I wouldn't volunteer to help train them to work in a factory, because they cannot do that, and if they could, forcing them to would be bad.
Is this supposed to be an excuse to justify you using a useless piece of shit like Gemini instead of thinking critically all by yourself? And this all somehow makes you more credible? 😂
It does not have logic, it has statistics. It does not understand what it is saying, and even if it did, it would not understand in the way we do. Using it might make it better at fooling us, but mainly it just makes life worse for someone who lives near a data center.
