Ben Obese-Jecty is the only Conservative MP and frankly one of the vanishingly small number of MPs, full stop, to react to this stuff in a normal way.

I grew up in the 80's being called a fucking paddy. The whole conversation is only going one way, Who gets to gatekeep "real" British citizens. Be it the irregular or regular migration, trans, abortion rights, etc. How many people are going to learn the hard way?

Indeed. Plain truth is that there is a vast majority in the country as a whole to be rallied against this stuff. Labour seem to want to lead a republican front without ever saying “Vichy was bad”, and other than Obese-Jecty, Tory MPs seem to think someone else will deal with the problem for them.

there are tory names that shock me at how they have accepted this and I do bleive anyone who stands up now could be rewarded into the future. the only future for the party is to be firm anti racist/Farage. Kemi gets the latter one about Farage as her dislike of him seems geninue

That is the odd thing at least 60-70% of the population probably abhor Reform and all they stand for yet where are they represented?

I think - and am probably wrong - that they think The Farage Party will just implode. Again. As it has so many times before.

But even if it does, why don’t they want to stand up and be counted? There’s no possibility Starmer himself thinks like this so somehow his advisers are telling him that most people are a bit fash. I don’t think that’s real.

I mean, Obese-Jecty is a Kemi supporter not a Cleverly supporter so it had to get to the point where Reform MPs are using the N word for Obese-Jecty to even start to get it

But majority opinion in the country just doesn’t matter as much as opinion amongst elites, the narrow political nation and the cues the elites issue which inform and shape the officially sanctioned “mainstream” end

Yeah, but N by itself is a way of saying the N word, without saying it. It's what Andrew Tate recently did to Femi

James McMurdock is a racist scumbag, and it should be easy for the entire rest of parliament to disavow him.

McMurdock has a conviction for assaulting his then girlfriend, and is currently being investigated for fraudulently claiming Covid 19 business recovery loans. Yet Reform PLC thought he was an ideal person to be a candidate...

I suspect it's more that beyond Farage, Tice and Lowe - who were given the obvious target seats - and Anderson (who defected) they did naff all due diligence on any other candidates. Had the exit poll been more accurate and they had won a dozen or so seats then there would have been more Mc Murdocks

The fact this is happening and yet nobody is really reporting or doing anything about it is absolutely sickening. I’m clearly no Corbyn fan (the opposite) but the media were dredging up old facebook groups and associations. Yet this is happening in real time - and it’s ’all fine’.

The Mirror is reporting the racist attack in Halifax like they're appalled. But when a man on a National Express from Bristol to London was bullied off it by racists for "looking shifty", they used an image of a flower seller in a Rajasthan market, captioned "Victim:" so you'd think "I can see why"

Is the issue that too many MPs aren't familiar with the 'plausible deniability' approach of the online far-right and so don't feel confident calling it out?
