Searched @cartoonshateher.bsky.social in order to find a post I wanted to share, and this I think sums up why it's such a good newsletter - almost every Substack has this kind of maladapation of 'I know what will make number go up'. It's one of the few written out of genuine freedom!

First user: It's very, very rare to find someone making a claim that they know any substantial portion of their core audience will disagree with. They already know what their core audience believes, and they know that this fragmented media environment, you flatter your audience or lose it. Second user:This is the power of the Cartoons Hate Her lady, who is is always pissing someone off because she doesn't seem to quite clock the idea of pandering as a normie, so she's regularly at the nexus of some kind of fight about whether dogs should be allowed to bite children
