It did, 100%. It was a great story. Great villain. But it got murky with the fighting.
It's so frustrating when they lose the momentum & muddy up a good story in service to a set number of episodes. Or when they damage a phenomenonal story at the end with a rushed or ambiguous ending. After you put your viewers through all that, don't phone it in.
That's it completely. Everything about the show was good. Oh Jung-se as the villain was incredible. Huge budget. Great cast. Everything was in place. But then there were the seemingly neverending fights & the lead constantly getting brutally beaten, that overshadowed all the good. It's a shame
