Olympic Games 1936 come to mind. I’m sorry for California/LA, but l doubt there will be much enthusiasm from the rest of the world to travel into the USA to see them. Same for the FIFA World Cup.

Indeed! And you would just have to trust them to give it back when you leave, that is, if they didn’t put you in a detention camp bc of your complexion, your accent or just about anything.
