I remembered this photo after the incident. I never heard much about it though, its credibility or otherwise. It certainly seems like a very viable scenario in my opinion!

I thought the plexiglass from the teleprompter was hit and a piece of plastic hit Trump. The bullet ricocheted into the fireman. Only after the gunman hit his target (the plexiglass) did the SS take him out. I’m certain the only one who didn’t know this outcome among the players was the shooter.
