Have you ever read what he’s trying to do to deal with homelessness? You should. Most people agree it’s an issue that needs attention. He’s trying to find solutions to help the homeless. He’s supportive of the rights of the trans community but is hesitant about women’s sports as are many people.
Republicans would disappear all homeless/trans/lgbtq in a heartbeat if they could. It’s ridiculous to turn on each other when the other side is literally trying to eliminate our citizens from existence…
What do you think “clearance” is, in this case? He’s doing the same thing as republicans, just with a blue tie and a plastic smile.
He’s buying into right-wing fearmongering about the vanishingly small number of trans athletes. If he’s that easily manipulated, then he’s a danger to us all. He also says trans people shouldn’t be allowed gender care until 25, which is an obvious step to fully banning it.
If you think “trans people in sports” is anything other than a right wing effort to push trans people out of public life, then congratulations, you’ve bought into conservative propaganda
I have nothing but empathy for the trans community. Don’t tell me what I think. These issues are complex and multi faceted not black and white. You should read more carefully what your governor is trying to do to deal with these complex issues. Far left propaganda also exists.
Is that all you have? That I cannot possibly know about what my governor is doing in my state? That I don’t understand the things that affect my own community? This is not allyship to the trans community. You are not helping us by propping up someone who opposes our rights, and then lying about it
Well, I hope you’re at peace with fascism…because if the Democrats don’t get their act together we’re doomed. These are not the only issues we’re dealing with at the moment.
If you’re willing to compromise on the human rights of trans and homeless people, then you’ve already decided to accept fascism. Stop trying to get us to support it, though, many of us have actual moral backbones.

He’s my governor, I’m well aware of him. His current action (not words) on homeless people is “clearance”: removing their belongings, destroying what homes they’ve managed to create, and pushing them along. He’s not trying to find solutions to homelessness, he’s gleefully making their lives harder.
