I’m not a fan of this argument. It assumes older people hold 9-5 Mon-Fri white-collar jobs. Plenty of older people work jobs where they work on the weekend/do not have the flexibility to take days off. I don’t know who is estimating numbers but recall an anti war protest (after 9/11) in NYC that I went to. It was mobbed. Peaceful. I asked various cops what the police department estimated in terms of numbers. They all said around 2 million. NY Times reported 20,000. I cancelled my subscription.
