When democracy is at stake I don’t think spending a couple more months away from your family is unreasonable. I’d do it. I’m not sympathetic. This is the job they chose, it didn’t choose them. Let’s be real, these also aren’t folks one paycheck away from living under a bridge. If I could swing it…
Tbh, just because you could swing living in another state for two months, plus losing both your jobs' incomes, plus paying 20k in fines, plus childcare (unless your spouse loses their job too to full-time any kids), plus paying bills etc in Texas, that this is something anyone could do.
Tbh, we’re not talking about folks working a service job to keep the kids fed and the future of our democracy is on the line.
