I know it’s satire. They’re making fun of mainstream media and their constant typos, even in headlines. It’s seriously a pet peeve of mine.

Sorry, no, it's not making fun of typos - it's taking to a comic extreme the routine and deliberate omission of the verb 'to be' from headlines. (Apologies for being pedantic about this!)

Also I think I misread “side” a “slid” twice originally and I thought it was an intentional mistake. Dyslexia. Harvard medical has done a lot of research to benefit the transgender community so I was always pro Harvard even though they have secret societies for billionaires.

I thought the wording was just implying surprise we’re siding with Harvard to oppose a tyrannical government.
