Wow, Sullivan is being quite dishonest here. I imagine that Biden's staff were hoping to get lucky and catch him on a good day. They rolled snake eyes, but it wasn't like an unexpected bolt from the blue. To everybody bitching about Trump, that's the point. Biden was far too senile to gamble on.

No, the point is why are people even still talking about this 🐂💩 when US DEMOCRACY IS ON FIRE? And YOU have no idea what they experienced, no matter how much you think you know better.

Dems not repeating mistakes is critical. Many Dems supported Feinstein as she became senile/incompetent. This assisted the Trump takeover. We've lost several recent close House votes because of death and illness of elderly reps who should never have run in 2024. That's why we're talking about this.

If that's the point you were somehow making then, sure, but that's not why the Bulwark is talking about it that I can tell.

You said that you had some insight that the Bulwark is talking about this for some motive other than opposing Trump. What did you mean?

I said no such thing. The point is & was, it's so far down the rung of NECESSARY conversations at this moment in time, no one should be wasting time with it, like AT ALL. Seemed pretty clear to me that I was saying none of it makes a bit of difference to the FACT our democracy is being overthrown.

Addressing the Democratic gerontocracy which is costing us critical House votes and has cost us critical Senate votes is a higher rung on my ladder of necessary conversations than yours. Publicly beating up its high-profile apologists as a deterrent is good. It's definitely not a waste of time.

Again, the gerintocracy isn't even close to the top 10 things that are a real *threat* RIGHT NOW, no matter how much you try to make this relevant to the constitutional crisis this nation IS IN. An authoritarian coup is unfolding & you're going on about deterring apologists for the aged in Congress.

I'm bringing it up because we just lost the first BBB vote by only one vote in the House and one D who never should have run had just died. Part of why we're in this Constitutional crisis is *because of the D gerontocracy*. If we somehow make it to 2026, we need to stop this to win back the House.

Again, I get that part - YOU bringing it up, but that's not what THIS CONVERSATION in the OP is, & *that's* what I'm complaining abt. That discussion is abt BIDEN, not a geriatric Congress that's played a role in losing. You can believe this has some relevance if you want, but it's WASTED effort rn.

I don't know what goes on inside Tim Miller's head, but as a Bulwark paid subscriber, I can tell you that his content is largely critiques of the Trump administration. He's been particularly vocal about the injustice of the CECOT incarcerations. He's no Trump shill, quite the contrary.

Where did I say anything about anyone being a Trump supporter?
