I think what’s going on here is that the TikTok critic who originally went viral talking about the ad called it “Nazi stuff”, and now that statement is being used to dismiss other criticism of the ad. It’s a familiar strategy of collapsing all criticism into its least plausible version

I didn't see that, thank you for pointing to it. But yes, its a dangerous line of argument, because what many people seem to be doing is suggesting that the ad isn't worth ANY criticism, when it is, because its both a symptom of the age, but also part of the rhetoric that built/enabled this moment.

I really really hate that strategy, watering things down into nothing so people stop caring. but the thing itself, the ad in this case, still remains very ableist and racist, and now you gotta fight freaks who agree with the ad AND libs who don't wanna hear about it anymore. 🙃
