My mom’s ancestors also came over on the mayflower. The difference is, my mom is a full blown communist and taught me that anyone who isn’t a communist can’t be a real Christian.

In school in the 80s, my sister used to wear "Ban apartheid" buttons & after she explained what it was to me, I kind of idolized her. Then over the years we grew apart. When tRump was running the first time, my uncle had pro-trump stuff on FB. She liked it & we stopped talking. We barely talk now.
