So like, it will be tough to lose the Burren specifically, even for just a few years
in most cases these are storefronts that have been vacant since years before the pandemic. I've heard that the landowners are usually the ones blocking development and I think the city could be doing more to squeeze them via enforcement
We do have a vacant property ordinance, but neither of our recent Mayors has prioritized enforcing it. C.f the rotting corpse of The Biscuit at Beacon and Washington.
yeah, Matt Mclaughlin has been trying to persuade the city to either enforce it in EastSom or eminent domain the blighted lots and....crickets
