Guess where former defence ministers are? 👀 The revolving door is a real obstacle to good governance and it should be SHUT.

We often point our fingers at Asian and developing countries for corruption. This is institutional CORRUPTION.

The deliberate long term propaganda against other nations, especially ones that are predominantly non christian, non caucasian etc, is a part of the corruption.

With the rise of social media and real time reporting 'we' are learning more about the corruption of politics. Only community independents are truly representative of their electorate. Party politics is not democracy.

Not necessarily. Most of are wealthy. And I imagine they like tax breaks and privatisation. That’s certainly not representative of my electorate. Whereas the Greens believe in public services including schools.

Beng independent does not automatically make someone a good person. Unfortunately the vast majority of politicians are self serving scum. Social media might only be growing for zombies in the near future if dodgy politicians get their way.

We aren’t all doing that. Labor won on preferences. And next time those preferences are a long way from guaranteed.

The duopoly are never in doubt of winning in Australia. So 'we' as Australian voters are to blame. 'We' as individuals may, or may not be. The last prime minister I voted in was in 1992 in my 1st election.

I do not vote for the duopoly, I voted Paul Keating in when I was 19, then I grew up. Read, then write.

Also Keating, although I voted for him, is a big part of the neo con scam that saw workers diminished and the oligarchs grow. We all make mistakes.

I thought he was funny, but like Paul, I am sarcastic, and 'I was only 19'. I am not aware of a good Australian Prime Minister existing, some have suggested Gough Whitlam, who was in office when I was born. Australians suck at voting, then blame the elected officials.

Their unreasonably generous "Super", actually a lavish pension, is supposed to avoid the need for this sort of thing. But I guess they can have both, and in modern day politics it's not even seen as corrupt.

I imagine that any movement on this would get immense support from the public. The rivers of gold are going mostly to players in established parties. It takes a decade or two to come to grips with the amount of money on the table. The newer groups will find busting this irresistible.

The Greens and some Independents want this addressed. The degree of hate they get from Lib, Lab and the majority media should tell us how much money is involved. Unbelievable that PwC already have their snouts back in the trough after their epic bed-shitting demonstration.

Two years ago Australia supported genocide in Gaza. Now our govt speaks against it. In the next two year a simple anti-revolver-door change dot org petition could get 50% of the voters to sign. It is imaginable, in fact inevitable.

Unfortunately our ministers, of both parties, are self interested grifters. Can someone pledge these bludgers a $500k p.a. sinecure after they retire if they act on the #ClimateEmergency? I'd swap my roughly $1k of donations a year to this. 500 people like me could buy one minister's future.
