We cannot arrest people for existing. Hate speech is often protected speech. It’s not 100% one way or the other. And yeah, I think we’re way too lenient on hate speech too, but expecting cops to arrest nonviolent protesters is basically giving them an excuse to do it to anyone.

I don’t speak for Lauren, but I think the point is that the groups themselves should not have *any kind of representation, sanctioned or otherwise.
