The stack height of these 'new' maximalist shoes always takes me by surprise. The heel-toe drop is still a reasonable 8mm, but you're basically running on 44mm stilts! I did recently run a 25k PR in some new Vaporflys (I'm a Nike guy...), and can attest that cloud shoes work, but wow!

Same I'm an ASICS guy have been for 10 years. Always the Kayano Gel as I tend to pronate when I run and the Kayano correct it for me. Another 200 miles and I will be just like you are feeling today. Congrats! For fun to keep track I always nickname my shoes after baseball teams based on color.

A shoe can be pretty or stylish but how is it engineered and tested for feet for endurance and injury avoidance. Expensive but I hope they are worth it and last a long time.
