Always love seeing these. Where I live we also have little booths along the road that sell flowers and fresh eggs. You just drop by, grab an item and drop money in the box on the honour system.

I put one up when I retired, it has been a JOY to see people using it. Families, kids, folks walking dogs, even people driving by who stop to see what's there. Immensely satisfying. I will go without bread or coffee before I'll skip my monthly trip to the thrift store to pu books for my LFL.

does anyone remember the twitter thread about the silly woman who called the cops because someone took all the books out of the free library? the real funny part is that someone started posting about how little libraries are just neoliberal propaganda and should be banned altogether.
