The writers also gave the executive the power of the prosecutor, but the executive never uses that. Neither judges nor members of congress have any legal right to commit crime, and the executive has a legal (and moral) obligation to prosecute them when they do.
However..the Executive has a conflict of interest when he uses the power of prosecution to benefit him or herself.
Its called Separation of powers..and our partisan illegal Supreme Court had no right under the Constitution to give the executive immunity. And under those Separation of powers, Congress has the power of the purse..not the Executive.. We honestly no longer have a working Constitution..
The corrupt scrotus also has no right or authority to create law, and the three appointed by the orange traitor were violating federal law that requires recusal. That's a felony, but so is accepting bribes.
But you can't have a working constitution when ANY members of government are above the law, and the department of "justice" has a policy of protecting criminal presidents from the law... Biden had an opportunity to right the ship but refused to attempt anything that might piss off the guilty.

So..here's the thing..if they ignore the Constitution, so can we. The blue States can revoke gun rights..make hate speech a crime..and prosecute federal officials who commit crimes in their States. And ignore the Supreme Court when they overrule it. Then we secede from the corrupt US.
Exactly. The current sitting presidolt is ACCORDING TO SUPREME COURT constitutionally INELIGIBLE for office of any kind. So the entire federal government is illegitimate now, as well as unconstitutional as a result.
