If you believe the military men & women on the line in this volatile situation don’t understand what is at stake, you may not fully appreciate their training, discipline, professionalism, & commitment. They understand their Oaths far better than POTUS, his Cabinet, & many Sens, Reps, & Judges.

Having sworn & administered those Oaths numerous times, over a 20+ year career, I’m schooled on the legalities. They know they are being used as pawns; we don’t want them unilaterally deciding which deployment orders are legal or not. That’s for the courts to decide & the Legislature to enforce.

No, it isn't; the courts take too long, and that delay means that by the time the courts intervene and assuming that the judge isn't corrupt, the damage will already be done. One NG or other military takes a shot at (or from) someone, even if the one who fires upon the military is a right wing

They’re not doing it, but it is the Court’s & Legislature’s job. If they fail, the next & final line of defense is We the People, not the military. But mil carrying guns isn’t the tipping point; using them will — though if shots are fired, that becomes a distinction w/o a difference.

You can find on my page where I’ve already said the natural inertia of the courts & deliberate negligence of the legislature are failing to check & balance the executive — which is deliberately dismantling the government & Constitution. The Republic is fooked, but the mil aren’t the traitors. Yet.

The judiciary and the executive have also been protecting the corrupt instead of the nation. They've already shredded the constitution. Putting guns in military hands on the street WILL trigger shooting, because if the law abiding citizens remain peaceful, the Vought will deploy a gunman.

That’s a likely maneuver. Escalation of violence is a time-proven fascist strategy. If the population accepts it, it becomes normal; if We fight back, it becomes justification for use of deadly force & martial law. I want to be wrong, but there are few likely peaceful outcomes at this point.
