The problem goes a lot deeper than kids having phones and taking them away aint gonna fix anything Kids who dont wanna learn and wanna fuck off will continue to find novel and exciting ways to do just that Im sure a lot of kids DID use their phones for learning
Kids are not using their phones for learning in class lol. They're using them to play Clash of Clans, watch TikTok brainrot, and text their friends. In that order.
Kids nowadays sadly Play brawl stars it would be amazing if they would embrace clash of clans.
A few years ago it was Clash of Clans battle Royale, specifically so they could say "CoC royal" at every opportunity.
Phones are a distraction that can divert attention of even kids who *want* to learn and will distract kids around the little asshole who wants to watch TikTok all through class instead of quietly reading a book, staring into space in La-La-Land, or doodling. Actions affect those around you.
