Everyone wants to blame the gun. I'm not so sure. These mass shootings, killings when you add in cars knives & bombs didn't start happening til the late 80's early 90s Increasing with each decade. And it's global. Something's off & we need to figure it out. Before some psycho really gets creative.
What country has as many or more mass shootings than the US? It’s not due to mental health because there has always been a problem with mental health. It’s mainly male, the majority of mass shooting are now guns that I used in Vietnam, a gun that no one should have access to.
The only reason to have a semi automatic or an automatic gun is to kill multiple people and there’s more access to those types of guns. I’ve had a gun all of my life. I grew up on a farm and was taught to use a gun safely and I never thought of having a semi automatic gun at my home.
The only time I have ever used one is to do what they were made for, War! I carried one for 2 1/2 years. I used it many times and I never want to see that again.
Everyone I know that has bullet hoses uses them in competitive shooting and fun gunning. To me all they are is toys. Dangerous toys, but toys nonetheless. I live in a high crime area. If I didn't have a gun 20 years ago, I wouldn't be here debating this.
THat's what I'm talking about. You're just limiting things to guns when there's something way bigger here. You were around guns your whole life. When you were a kid did you seriously wanna shoot up a school? Why did thinking it's ok to take out as many ppl as possible become ...acceptable?
Because of hate, you can look at other countries that have gun laws and the number of violent crime has decreased substantially. So if we look at a country that has gun laws versus a country that doesn’t and we can now see that having access to guns is a major factor in violence.
Also. I live a few hundred middle north of Mexico, They have some of the strictest gun laws in this hemisphere. anything over .22 caliber is considered a military round. We see how well those laws work there.
Most or bought in another state and some people don’t follow the laws that are in place. Look at how Australia turned their country around. It was due the the strict gun laws that put in place for the whole country, not just a state. Then no one needs a semi automatic go hunting or anything else.
I have a friend in Geelong. He'll tell you a very different story. They never had our level of gun play to begin with. their laws didn't limit much cause they didn't have much. NOW guess who has the guns? Also, look at the number of intrusive laws they passed once they dis-armed the populace
Still not getting it. We got some kid here decided to take out a school and uses a gun, right? OK in China they're having a similar problem. They are not using guns. they are using cars and knives. Still mass homicides. Why?
Your stating untrue facts, violent crime in China is very rare and not even close to what we have in United States.
Man... no what I'm saying is very much true. REPORTED violent crime is rare in China. But these mass killings are very much happening May not be with a gun may be under the suppression of the media there, but still happening.
Crime happens every where and we will never be able to stop it all. But we can stop mass shooters from being able to get guns that can wipe out a whole classroom in 10 seconds. As I said no one needs a semi automatic or automatic gun for any reason at all except for war and we are not at war.
Sorry for spamming. THis is what I'm talking about. It's different weapons. Maybe different motives, but the same. deciding to kill as many innocent people as possible. THis video is dated, but is still going on. THis guy and another expat makes these youtu.be/bEjsGj-NTFw?...
But again none of that really matters until we take a serious look at why people are losing the plot and committing these crimes in the first place. And I don't mean just shift the blame from gun to anti-depressant. Millions of people take those and they don't kill either. So what is it?
No no argument with that. But I'm saying don't be surprised if preventing these people from getting these guns are going to stop them. I also think if we reclassify these bullet hoses we can let those gun nuts have their toys and and keep the rest of us safe.
