Not a pedant point as it is the British who generally treat the EU and Europe as the same. That's because many British people (I've met them) don't regard themselves as European for reasons nobody else understands.

Apologies, I should have thrown a 🤔 in there. But Fox is the epitome of the moronic right who see "Europe" as a separate continent, one and the same as the EU, and the UK as distinct. - of course, he may not have realised Ireland is part of Europe in all senses... British Isles, innit.
