Right, I mean lots of people are cheering on Newsom's efforts to super-gerrymander California to counter Texas's gerrymandering and that is an inherently anti-democratic action.

But it has to be done. For now they are saying it is temporary. The opposite would be a permanent republican party, that is unacceptable.

My point is that we can certainly understand the tendency to promote anti-democratic policies when it works in favor of the causes that are important to us.
