Which policy can you change in China? Jailing "beggars" (homeless) forcing them out of the city because their residency is rural ? The death penalty? Trying to form a free, fair trade union?

Even if those things you said are correct, those same criticisms are true about the US today. My understanding is that the Chinese quality of life is much better than western propaganda would lead us to believe. 90% of Chinese families own their homes. 80% of those are owned outright.

Dictatorship never works. Not in China, not in the US. There can be no substitute for freedom, human rights, democracy and participation. No one can make decisions on our behalf without our sovereign voice. In my opinion anyway

It never works? So is that why the united state installed so many? You mentioned (wrongly) China but not Pinochet (Chile), Syngman Rhee (South Korea, didn’t hold elections till the 80s), Ngo Dinh Diem (South Vietnam). Read a book that has more words than pictures.
