If I’m reading this correctly, it’s saying a higher BMI is one likely factor, but not the only one, and further studies needed?

They did control for bmi and still found a trend but they need to replicate studies, rule out environmental factors and compensate for the fact that different tests were used to measure testosterone, which might give slightly different outcomes.

Yes. I also imagine that lack of sleep is an obvious factor.
