If you put rampant hate, normalisation of bigotry, vilification of “others” and general glorification of “dominant masculinity” in the same bag as “mental health issues”, then maybe. But it is a massive stretch

Someone w/ an arsenal of weapons, a preoccupation w/ violence & mass shootings, & who killed themself after a mass shooting at their former school has a mental health problem. Our societal problem is no one noticing or responding to their weeks of distress signals. (And way too easy gun access.)
