Burgum comes across as being as daft as a brush (although I don't think he really believes this BS). The real reason is that POTUS is into the neck with fossil fuel companies, and they see renewables as a threat to their profits (despite them being the only way we might escape climate catastrophe)
He isn't daft. He's a smart man, but he gave up all his honor to follow Trump. He lost it all during Covid. He buckled to Republicans then and has been tumbling ever since.I'm amazed how these people have no pride or dignity.
