No. In the US you are an adult at 18, a teenager at 13/14. We can acknowledge the power differential that removes the ability to consent while under 18 without infantilizing people. You are an abuse victim, but not a child at 16. At 18 an adult due to societal forces. 21 means nothing.

While I appreciate suggesting 18 is adult and I am somehow infantilizing… appreciate my civil effort as I correct your assumption. Context truly matters! Therefore in the context of a GROOMED CHILD, young woman at 21 is a hope. Infantilizing suggests capacity that I am not acknowledging.
