Such a horrible crime. The trauma these poor kids will need to cope with. Not sure it’s a new problem but social media, like in so many areas, is likely not helping.

Perhaps the biggest part of that trauma is the stigma. And this is why me MUST stop stigmatizing these victims. Rape is rampant through the animal kingdom. It’s awful but made much worse when the victims are treated as worthless as a result of what’s been done to them.

Sure, let's blame social media for the depravity of people who would likely be doing all this in darkness without social media.

I am not blaming social media. These dark instincts have always been. But the social media allows the depraved to know there are others like them and provide predatory opportunities that may not have been accessible before. Not caused, but maybe amplified.
