Me too. The arrangement is lovely, Robinβs vocal is outstanding, and I love the use of the sitar. I love this entire album so much and sad it didnβt get the attention it deserved.

Me too. Ditto to everything you said about the song. You mentioned everything I love about it. I love Living Eyes. It is a wonderful album. Definitely should have gotten more attention.
And considering all that was going on at the time itβs almost a miracle this was so good.
I always love Mo singing lead too- Wildflower is a wonderful song.
I love this album too. Right near the top of my favourites β€οΈ This song is beautiful π
Mine too. Definitely one of my all time favorite albums. I love every song on there. Isnβt it a beautiful song? Brings me to tears because the lyrics, melody and Robinβs voice - always touches me.
I also think as far as overall song structure goes, Soldiers is absolutely brilliant. I love the turns it makes and the vocal phrasing.
Iβm not really an expert on structure of songs but I get what you are saying. It reminds me of Voices on Mr Natural even though they are completely different songs
Iβm not an expert either but I just love how it was composed. π Voices is also wonderful.
I love Voices. Excellent song too.
I love Robins voice on this album (not that it isnβt good on others). Donβt fall in love with me is probably my favourite on the album but this one is right up there.
Donβt fall in love with me is another all time favorite.
Awwww. β€οΈ Karen, you're so right. I hardly ever listen to this album. Thanks for the reminder!
Definitely in my top three.
I havenβt listened to it in a while either even though it is one of my favourites.
As soon as you started this thread I went out to do errands and played the CD on my car. π Simply brilliant.
Iβve got mine out too. I just love this album
ππΌππΌ Might need to dig my copy out and give it another listen π
I am with you. Cued up for my next outing. I would listen now but I'm still zooming (Working).
One of the things I'd been really good about for probably the first three years is listening -- earliest to most recent -- entire albums. But lately I've had the Ultimate in my car and fell prey to the addictive quality of one hit after another. No wonder the compilations always did big business.
The Ultimate is definitely an excellent compilation. π«Άπ½ I need to the start to finish rotation again. Itβs been a while. So cool to listen to them evolve.
Iβm not a big listener of full albums after the first time but have been trying a bit more lately. I mostly listen to the mixed playlist on my tablet - which is a bit of everything. The ultimate (which was the first Bee Gees album I downloaded/bought) is a good choice for a compilation through ππΌ
Iβve been listening to Exclusively Bee Gees station on my phone. Love it- I love the variety. I love going from Please Read Me to Haunted House to My World to Lamplight etc. so much fantastic stuff. Includes interview snippets too but tends to play the same ones but theyβre always good to hear
I listen to that one occasionally aswell ππΌ
Oh, no! I can't do shuffle. I am such a purist I'm sure it affects my enjoyment. lol. So glad you are having fun and getting surprised by the next song up. The drawback of my way is I know what's coming. You get a surprise! π
Oh, well - I am strict. It's a curse. Listening to the Ultimate makes me feel like I'm cheating. In a good way. One of my favorite compilations before I listened to the Ultimate was one I put together myself of all the BBC recordings, in order. I labeled it "Bee Gees on the Radio."
Sounds like a fantastic compilation.
