Not for the first time, "American democracy" might mean something more if I'd ever encountered it outside the realm of myth. The answer would still be, of course, that we are no one's sacrifice. Ever. Under any circumstances.

What pisses me off the most is that they’re treating this as an inevitability rather than joining us to push back. They aren’t even TRYING before just giving up and being like “suck it up!”

This cohort of libs is so ready to sacrifice trans folks for an easy out - a Blue Jesus to rally behind, rather than facing the work of protecting and surviving and fighting fascism in all the ways themselves. The ‘election’ (in 3 years) will not save us.
