It has always been this way, even during the Obama administration has been U.S. citizens clapping at people suffering and they are the loudest crowd you have.

They don't see it because we haven't turned the imperialism against (white) people here, at least not since the war.
Of course we see it. And you don't know my race. There are cruel people and good people in every country. Hating a country is a lazy oversimplification. My friend was in Greece on 9/11. She said people were laughing and cheering. If you laugh and cheer at the suffering of anyone, you are evil.
I didn't make any claim about your race, i made a claim about my countrymen. Our internal oppression doesn't typically target white people, though some late 19th century immigrants might disagree. Also the criticism wasn't aimed at every individual person in America - as a state we are a bad actor.
Just in my lifetime we've killed millions in wars of aggression, and just off the to of my head disrupted elected governments in Nicaragua, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Honduras, disrupting millions more lives. Before my time Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia. I'm sure I'm forgetting plenty.
Many Americans have protested all of these wars, myself included. Others cheered them on. Any people is complex, but the US has been the core of an empire for a while now, and all empires are violent.
And many of those are been persecuted and will start to disappear, sent to prison, without any legal procedure, because of the fascist government and the Felon pedophile in chief you got over there
We're an extremely propagandized people.
