Meanwhile, they posted record profits in 2023—$105 billion combined! It’s unacceptable that profits soar while our planet suffers. Demand these giants invest in clean energy now!
In hot climates running sheep, I think there is scope for both Column A and Column B so long as the panels are located high enough and spaced appropriately for the sheep to get shade and the grass to get enough sun...
It's ok to cover the fields. If they are 10 feet in the air, and cows and sheep can graze under them. 😻
And interesting enough the shadow it creates makes it a pleasant place for other species to thrive. Covering field with solar panels is, except for the view, really not bad at all. I do agree though that a car park makes more sense.
You can do both! Studies showed that Agri-PV facilities are good for species diversity. You can have cattle or sheep there, there is still enough grass growing and the animals have shadow and rain protection under the solar roofs! Of course car parks to charge EVs are the No. 1 option.
Reduce car usage seems like a far more effective solution
Thats a great idea, it keeps the cars cool and provides #cooling islands in #urban areas, if you use a certain parts for water circulation to cool the #solar panels. #innovation Pi-Qui
Love the idea of solar car parks!
wait till you hear about what the country called "china" emits annually
Cover both! Covered fields produce 20% more.
oh yeah and not to mention that this would remove the entire problem of getting back to your car only to find that the seats are unbearably hot from being out in the sun

Do both Stop CORN ETHANOL
I wish some of the massive warehouses around my area were required to have solar roofs. Yeah, there might be engineering challenges but there's so much wasted space on what used to be farm fields.
Great idea!
I mean, if the alternative for that field is genetically modified #2 dent corn that requires metric tons of herbicide, pesticide, and fertilizer to grow, and over a third of which will be turned into ethonol... I'm taking the solar.
Also, the main cause of farmland loss is suburban sprawl, so incentivizing parking lots kind of increases that
Well shit not that just seems like good logic when you see it represented in physical form.. wait why the fuck didn't we come up with that shit sooner? Seems like some egg headed brainiac would have thought about this while the inventing was still happening don't it? 🇨🇦🤣👌
Great idea. But on a smaller scale can the energy used walking from point A to point B charge a cellphone for example? How about riding a bicycle?
We already put solar panels on carparks and other buildings. But the electricity is also needed in rural areas, far from large carparks, and it's better to install the panels in grazing land than try to push power out of the cities. With grazing land, the animals can get some shade and the panels>
are free to follow the sun around the sky and generate more power. We should do both, of course. Plus wind power and storage.
We the people are responsible to stop the use of fossil fuels and start using SOLAR & WINDMILL energy sources technology just like leading advanced nations. Not to worry tRump because he won’t be around for long time.
I sure as heck do 😎
Sure 👍
Outstanding. I am exploring residential solar, but I live in a state hostile to solar with a horrible net metering program. I've accused them of existing to serve investors only. I live 26 miles from my state's energy commission hq. It's on my list.

Though being a socialist and not wanting to ensure every household on the planet needs a car, I would argue that we cover bus parks and reduce car land allocation.
I don’t recall where, but this morning I saw a post of panels installed in a canal, preventing some evaporation while producing power.
