Today in my physical science class I did the egg in a bottle demonstration, one of my favorites. Here’s slow motion of me doing this in my backyard. I love how the bounces up and down before being pushed in by air pressure.

To get the egg out you increase the air pressure inside by blowing into the bottle with open end down with the egg at the opening. I got applause from my class when it popped out. 😀

I somehow missed getting to see this demonstrated in class as a kid and wow, this is so cool! Thank you so much for sharing this here.

I feel like I might have done it with a rubber ball? It feels like something the kids’ science books and magazines I devoured would have included, but the only egg experiment I remember doing was putting one in vinegar.
