Yes, but you can't blame the "purity test crowd" (as you call them) as their numbers were not enough to sway the election (or even a state). Harris fell into the same trap that all Dem candidates have fallen into since 2016: they think "the other guy is worse" is a campaign strategy.
Presidential campaigns are won by giving the voters something to vote for. In 2024 that something was the high cost of living. Yes, Harris had lots of plans, but didn't really talk about it, instead telling voters to DL her 92 page PDF on her economic plan. Trump yelled "Eggs!".
Harris relied on voters being afraid of Trump (it almost worked - she lost by less than 3 mil votes), but ignored people who were fed up with the Biden economic recovery that wasn't. She ignored the people who were just sick of the merry-go-round of one (comparably) rich candidate after another.
If you want to see the type of campaign she needed to run, have a look at Mamdani's mayoral campaign in NYC. Hell, the Dems need to be paying attention to Mamdani. Right now the Dems are at a -32 approval rating among Dem voters, and that's with the fascists in control of the country.
I would also remind you that the Dems spent 2 billion on 2024 and lost the trifecta. If they want to win, maybe they should start listening to voters instead of their AIPAC handlers.
You can't handle an honest assessment of a candidate and party that failed the country. While I'm sure "it's the voter's fault" is comforting, it lacks integrity. Too much of that and no pressure on the Dem Party will only see a repeat of 2024.

Please. It was a recovery if you already had money. People working 2 and 3 jobs weren't afforded the option to quit one of those jobs. That why Harris fell flat. The two biggest econ take aways from her rallies were "tax breaks for starting a business" and "go read my 92 page PDF on my econ plan".

She talked about her plans at every rally. She had a website full of her plans.
Trump yelled "Eggs!" so clearly what Harris was doing didn't work. And the last time people talked about a pres candidate having plans on their website is when centrist Dems gave Bernie Sanders shit for having his plans detailed on his website. The Dems took the wrong lesson from Bernie.
I can and I do blame them. They are the ones who fell into the trap, not Harris. They fell into the maga trap. Only one person wins an election. You vote for the best one and do the work of bending that person in the direction you want to go. You do not let a fascist take your country over. Ever.
Their families were being bombed. How would you vote if you knew both sides were voting to fund the country murdering your family? In their perspective they had one option that wouldn't reward the people aiding their families killers.
