Going to spend the weekend in Escanaba! Got any recommendations of places to go or see? I usually have family visit the Keweenaw but changing course on this visit.

The best thing about Escanaba is that it is centrally located in the U.P. and makes it easier to travel to scenic areas. Fayette Historic State Park is an hour away on the Garden Peninsula. Portage Point is just south and has a nice beach and hiking trail. Monarch migration might be happening too.

If you like Thai food, Thai'd Up is on 3rd Ave, N and has excellent food. This is a good resource too for what is going on up here. Have a fun safe visit! visitescanaba.com
