Now what? @nowwhat2024.bsky.social

Can I go to another state and get it? I don’t care if I self pay. I realize the privilege in this statement and wish it wasn’t this way.

During the early pandemic years (when vaccinations were in short supply in many places), a lot of folks went out of state to get their COVID shots so I think you should be able to now. I know folks in VA who are already scheduling appointments in MD.

Did they give a reason or specifically state it was because you're not a CT resident? It may be pharmacy specific because I know MD pharmacies are giving appointments for VA residents.

Just some mumbo jumbo about not being able to book to based on regulations.

That’s weird bc on the CVS site, I get that for VA (where I live) and for NC (where my sister lives), but when I put my mom’s CT zip code in there I could schedule one for next weekend. Just tried it a few minutes ago so it should work! :)

It worked! I think it had defaulted to my location as mass and that was what kicked it out. I just need to connect with my insurance to see if they will pay or not.

Fingers crossed that they will!! :) That’s the tricky part of the scheduling - the defaulting to your regular address, and if you don’t realize you can click on a screen to change the zip code you won’t have the option.
