All the Europeans and the rest of the democratic world can do is batten down the hatches and buy time needed to develop self-reliance for a post-American world. Anti-Trump Americans can't just sit around waiting for an external deus ex machina to solve their Trump problem for them.

I'd never imagined that Europe would intervene in US domestic politics to save us from ourselves/Trump (although I'd be delighted if it happened). Maybe if he invaded not just Greenland but metropolitan Denmark too... The Allies only rescued Germany/Italy/Japan bc of territorial expansion.
