The more likely outcome is that Trump declares that postal services in Europe and Asia are being mean to America and tries to impose sanctions on them, making America's predicament much much worse

100%...I repeat unless US economy crashes no one in US will do anything abt this just like no one in Russia doing anything abt Putin as long as money keep flowing. Yes, Russian living standards r lower meaning they can withhold more pain.

What this does, is just raise the cost to American residents for buying items from foreign companys (often unique products not available from US based companys). The major courier companys will still deliver because their business models allow them to collect the tariffs, where postal services can't
