Perhaps a one-state solution is the only realistic outcome after the systematic evisceration of Palestinian institutions. But then focus on apartheid comparisons needs to be blunt about why a two state solution is unviable and what a just path to a shared state could be

It may be impossible to wipe out Hamas, but the IDF crushed it as an existential threat to Israel a year ago. The military campaign to achieve that goal systematised war crimes from the start under a political leadership that openly hoped for mass expulsion of all Palestinians.

These are crimes against humanity that must be stopped, but focus also needs to remain on the question of what comes next for Israelis and Palestinians if and when they are stopped.

Sinwar will go down as one of history's most disastrously deluded leaders in unleashing a vicious Hamas assault that totally misread dynamics in Israel But we shouldn't let Sinwar's strategic nihilism or Netanyahu's cynical brutality nullify efforts to imagine a better future

Who is going to stop Israel? They’re carrying out genocide and ethnic cleansing, seemingly supported by the Israeli public and definitely supported by the US. Are there other factors that you think can potentially stop it?

Gaza also borders with Egypt...no help there no supplies being shipped from there. Why???? Hamas only has to surrender and give back the hostages and the war is over. Why aren't they doing that?

Demographically speaking, would the one state solution, without any kind of apartheid ofc, be an option that would satisfy the israeli ?

The replacement of the South African apartheid regime with a one-state majority rule entity is utopian and irrelevant to the Israel-Palestine conflict in the foreseeable future. In the territory between the Med and the Jordan River,

the Jewish and Palestinian populations are roughly equal in size, with neither having demographic dominance. There is no basis to believe that the great majority of people on either side would agree to a shared one-person-one-vote state

The unitary state would just become another platform for constant internal upheaval and internecine war. Yes, the two-state solution seems impossible at the moment, but it is the only one that would allow both sides to realize their

Indeed. 2 states is the worst. would mean crippling concessions by the Palestinians, territorial and otherwise. Most likely is short term violent apartheid state, world opinion upheaval with true boycotts (including access to european airspace), then one state with equal rights for all.
