They do this in part because they are also the airport cops, but practicing there would bother more affluent people. We gotta be thinking about how to stop and reverse not only the damage that Trump has done, but also Bush II.

So they don’t carry assault rifles when patrolling the airport? Interesting because the police at French and German airports usually do and that’s fine with business travellers there.

Carrying assult rifles, yes, but not most officers - drills, no, unless it's a bigger multi-agency training. Buffalo airport is the chillest one I've ever been to, tbh. Usually you can get there 30 minutes before your flight and still have time to grab a cup of coffee before boarding.
