Because f--- Democrats and minorities. That's it, that's the only thing that motivates most of the country is knee-jerk hatred of Democrats and minorities.
I lived in ID for 14 years. They survive on hatred.
That’s a powerful statement, and sadly, it reflects how deeply division can take root in some places. Did you notice any efforts there to build community or push back against that mindset?
I lived in CDA. North Idaho. Very little. And only voiced opposition, no actual mobilization of any kind. Even the local college lost its accreditation due to right wingers taking over the school board. ID is worse than any southern red state. They just hide it better.
That sounds incredibly disheartening, especially when even educational institutions aren’t safe from political overreach. Do you think there’s still a chance for people to organize and push back before it gets even worse?
