Criticizing the US. doesn’t absolve Russia. I can condemn Guantánamo AND Bucha. Russia is imperialistic, repressive and territorial. The US is an opportunistic interventionist. As someone who grew up in the shadows of the USSR, I much prefer the latter to the former, but of course both are bad. YMMW
