That's it. I'm moving to somewhere where there's no: Drought Floods Fires Not too windy Not too hot Not too cold Good politics Have I missed anything?

Minneapolis and St. Paul are lovely! You’re welcome here!
Thank you
Let us know when you find it 😬
Let me know where that place is when you find it. But then I’ll probably complain it’s too crowded
Destination: Utopia.
You need a creek, on top of a mountain so it doesn’t flood. Let me know when you find it. I promise I won’t tell anyone 🤐.
The ‘Good Place’ is made for you!!
Ticks and skeeters!
Good point. Adding them to the list
Sigh. Ticks have migrated up here to Nova Scotia but the possums are not here yet. Two lintrollered off my cat today already. Siiighhhh.
You use a lint roller on your cat to pick up ticks? That is freaking brilliant thank you!
Every freaking time the cat comes back inside... Flea comb and lint roller. Cat loooves lint roller. Cannot use it on myself cuz cat comes running! Roller catches and holds ticks so not loose in house. Ikea ones stickiest. Bought a case of refills! Use on clothes. Put clothes into drier 10 min high
The last point rules out Tasmania.
Doesn’t exist. If you find it, let me know! But I was happy to see you finally got some rain although the squalls really looked scary and dangerous. How did our animal family do with the wind?
They just find shelter and wait it out
Great food that isn’t stupid expensive
I heard Eyre Peninsula is nice.
Used to be
Where is this just right place
Still looking
Currently looking to relocate anywhere in Oz. Own my home, inheritance pending. It's impossible to find the ideal location despite being single, no dependents! Rural acreage, within dog friendly beach, not hot, coldish ok, no flood/fire risk, although don't mind small homes that can be moved!
Cakes. Good cakes.
I took good cakes as a given
www.facebook.com/share/r/16P9... This to shall pass...
We'll all be rooned ...
Nope, good call!
Good luck
When you find that place, I'll join you.
So far I have narrowed it down to Hobbiton and The Magic Faraway Tree
How about Shangri-La from the 1937 movie Lost Horizon?
Ive heard the net coverage sucks there and they’re nowhere near 5g yet…🤣😳
I've been to Hobbiton and it is wonderful. Plenty of lovely green grass for the sheep 😊
Bedrock?
I think we all will!
Norfolk Island? 😳
Could work!
Nah, nothing to add, but that place doesn't exist.
We could start a commune Can I bring my horse?
Absolutely
In this world, my hips are fixed so I can run and ride horses again! 🥰
Is that tropical island where Death in Paradise is set an actual place? Saint Marie Is?
They’ve had hurricanes and then there’s all those murders. Actual island is Guadalupe.
Oh my gosh- I didn't really wanna know any real 'facts' -haha. Yes murders- but how fascinating?
Yes, I absolutely love that show!
Such a silly show - but adorable. I really don't ask anything too seriously mind bending and challenging from any crime shows nowadays. I need to escape reality.
No religion. Beliefs are fine.
I dunno where the sheep are gonna sleep but Richmond would be happy to have you. Abla can come stay with me.
Better make sure they still have football
In the perfect place they always have football
And netball
Poverty/hunger Inequality
Privilege got me good. Yes All those
Barbados ticks most of the boxes
Cyclones, blizzards
Without getting too political, no. But it sounds terrific. So when you find it, don’t tell anybody. Just us.
So Narnia?
Yep. The name of that planet.
Turning off the news helps. Cannot watch anymore so distressing all over the world.
Right! My sister & I just retired & have had the same discussion. We live in Az & LOVE it 8 months out of the yr. To HOT in summer. Luckily we have a sister in Tacoma WA for June, July, aug & Sept!🤣We r gunna be GONE!! YEA RETIRMENT.
Don’t forget the earthquakes. That’s mostly the only issue we here in the Pacific Northwest in the US have, other than the republicans.
Reality?
Narnia?
Fremont CA. Most of those apply, though it’s been windy the last couple weeks. No humidity in summer, no snow to shovel, but it’s only 3 hours away. We get earthquakes occasionally, of course. Not in a fire danger zone. But be prepared to pay the “weather tax.” Housing is absurdly expensive.
Indeed: Fremont, CA Median Sale Price $1,598,000 (April 2025) And Fremont is by no means considered a high-end location for the SF Bay Area.
Earthquakes it is, then
I did forget earthquakes
no war
Damn I'm so safe I forgot about that.
Universal healthcare would be good.👍
