Even the biggest gum tree starts like this. After the worst summer life still goes on.

One day I found two leaves on a twig sitting beside my driveway. I thought it looked odd, so I bent down to pick it up ... it was growing there. I swapped it for a weed in the middle of the garden, then mowed the weed. The gum tree is now well above the roof, with a friend rescued from a gutter.
