But isn’t Medicaid your secondary ins (Medicare being primary)? How in the world are ppl supposed to pay the 20% of their medical bills that Medicare doesn’t pay? I’m scared for everyone in this situation & can’t wait to see what happens in blue state IL & my HH clients.
Yes, it is my secondary and is supposed to cover what medicaid doesn't. I was told a couple of months ago when I called wondering why I got a medical bill that they should have covered, that I didn't have "full" medicaid because if your check is over $950.00 than you make to much to qualify for it.
And then this lady tells me this. I'm so confused 😕

It's so ridiculous I don't get that much a month. They apparently don't take into consideration that people have rent or a mortgage, utilities, food, and everything else. The system is so messed up and always has been. 🙄
It is different for each state. And if your state did the Medicaid expansion which allowed more people to be eligible for medicaid. Some states have stopped their expansion of Medicaid. There is also QMB that is through Medicare that does basically what Medicaid does, the premiums and the 20%
It just makes me so mad. My check is not a lot. And if I was by myself, I probably wouldn't have a place to live. The rent and mortgage here is so expensive. It's so frustrating. I don't know what to do. Sorry 💙
