i've been navigating this bullshit here in texas for YEARS and WARNING folks that they were next if they didn't wake the fuck up and do something. and here we are.

maybe if the rest of the country would have spent a little more time fighting for trans kids in texas, none of us would be here. maybe if more people stood up and said NO, this line would not have been crossed.
instead, people have forgotten the "united" part of "united states of america" and thought that if a policy didn't affect them, they could just let it slide. "why don't you just move?" they've asked. while i've been asking for YEARS "why don't you just help?"
remember this the next time a law or policy is passed that is BLATANTLY discriminatory. don't just stand idly by while the most marginalized are sacrificed, because you think "it could never happen to me" or "that would never happen here" because (GESTURES WILDLY OUT THE WINDOW) GET TO WORK.
Preach.
